Mr. Bheenick has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of CIEL Finance Limited since March 2021 with a track record of 25 years in the banking sector.

He started his career at Barclays Bank Plc in March1996 and thereafter joined Standard Bank (Mauritius) Limited in June 2006 as Head: Global Markets. He was appointed as Chief Executive in June 2010 concurrently to assuming the role of Head: Corporate and Investment Banking for Standard Bank (Mauritius) Limited

Jérôme de CHASTEAUNEUF

Skills & Experience

Jérôme joined CIEL Group in 1993 as Corporate Finance Advisor and became Head of Finance of the CIEL Group in 2000. He has been closely involved with the corporate affairs of the CIEL Group together with the financial reengineering which accompanied its development over those years in office. He was nominated Group Finance Director on 01 January 2017.

Thierry HUGNIN

Skills & Experience

Thierry worked in investment banking in London with a focus on emerging markets. He later joined Blakeney Management, a London-based investment management firm, investing in public and private equity markets in Africa and the Middle East. He returned to Mauritius in 2003, as Chief Investment Officer of Ciel Investment, one of the leading industrial and investment groups in the Indian Ocean, to establish their private equity business. In 2008, he co-founded Kibo Capital Partners Ltd; the firm manages two private equity funds (Kibo I and II) focusing on the growth capital in Eastern and Southern Africa and the islands of Indian Ocean. In 2014, he became the Managing Partner of Kibo Capital Partners Ltd. He serves as Director on a number of boards of public and private companies spanning banking, hospitality and leisure both in Mauritius and the region.

Samila SIVARAMEN

Skills & Experience

Samila worked for six years for International Financial Services Limited, one of the largest offshore management companies in Mauritius, before joining CIEL Capital Limited in January 2005.  She has moved to CIEL Finance since September 2014 as Strategy & Finance Executive.

Kate LI KWONG WING

Kate is a Barrister-at-Law.

Ms. Li Kwong Wing was previously working at ENSafrica (Mauritius) in the corporate and commercial practice and prior to ENSafrica (Mauritius), she was the senior legal and corporate affairs officer and the Company Secretary of Alteo Limited, a company listed on the official market of the Stock Exchange of Mauritius.  She started her legal career as an associate at Appleby, an offshore law firm, where she specialised in corporate law and also practised in Appleby’s Hong Kong and Shanghai offices.

Kevin TEEROOVENGADUM

Skills & Experience

Kevin has a deal-making experience in various sectors in Africa (Real Estate, Hospitality, Financial Services and Telecoms), M&A, structured trade/project finance and experience in various countries in Africa for last 19 years. He was a director at Actis focusing on Africa Real Estate Fund for 6 years (Fund 1 & Fund 2) and led the exit of 2 key A-Grade Assets for Actis in 2012-2013. He was thereafter the Founder CEO of AttAfrica which within 3 years became the biggest owner and manager of 6 shopping centres totalling 150,000 sqm in Ghana, Zambia and Nigeria at US$700Million. Currently, he is an independent non-executive director of a number of unlisted companies in Mauritius and an advisor to a number of PE funds in Africa and a listed real estate group in Nigeria. He is also the Co-Founder and Director of ProptechAfrica. Regular speaker at major conferences in respect to Africa and Real Estate/Hospitality and writer.
