Boasting a track record spanning more than 20 years in the Global Business and financial services sector, Mahen witnessed firsthand the evolution of the sector and brings a wealth of experience to the MITCO Group. Mahen will now spearhead the transformative journey that the MITCO Group has embarked on, whilst remaining firmly committed to the Group’s mission and values.
Prior to joining the Group, Mahen held the position of CEO of the Mauritius Network Services where has been delivering digital transformation solutions linking Government, Businesses and Citizens enabling electronic cross-border trading, business registration and electronic tax filing in Mauritius. Mahen will now head a team of 80 professionals who advise customers globally while at the same time ensuring a high level of employee engagement.
Tinesh joined MITCO as Head of Client Accounting. He comes with around 20 years of working experience in the financial services industry and with a proven background in the Global Business sector.
He started his career in 2003 and has subsequently climbed the corporate ladder by working for different companies namely Baker Tilly, Deutsche Bank, KPMG, and Osiris Corporate Solutions (Mauritius) Ltd. Prior to joining MITCO, Tinesh was a Senior Manager in the Shared Services Department at Sanne Mauritius.
He is well versed in developing and implementing strategy, financial reporting, taxation and over the years he has served as director and audit committee chairperson on various domestic, global business and foreign companies inclusive of listed entities in Mauritius and the JSE. Tinesh is a Fellow member of ACCA and holds a Practice License from ACCA and Mauritius Institute of Professional Accountants.
Nathalie Daynes is the Chief Commercial and Marketing Officer of MITCO Group, overseeing both the Business Development (“Sales”) and Marketing department of the Group.
She started her career in the banking sector before joining the financial services sector. Nathalie brings to the Group more than 10 years of recognised expertise in the financial services sector.
Her understanding of the macro-economic stakes in both local and international markets such as Africa, Asia and Europe and her expertise in customer segmentation analysis will be an asset to accompany MITCO's change.
Nathalie holds a Master of business administration from PARIS Dauphine – Sorbonne.
Azad joined MITCO Group as Head of Finance in January 2018
After having worked overseas for the past 11 years, Azad came back to Mauritius in 2009 and worked for EY as senior manager. During his carrier, Azad has developed, a rich professional experience and assisted his clients in various industries ranging from oil& gas, hotels, insurance, engineering and finance. Among his main achievements were assisting clients in their due diligence assignment in Bond offering prior to listing in the London Stock Exchange market, setting up internal controls procedures for many clients in big overseas conglomerates and assisting one insurance company in the adoption of IFRS
Azad is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), UK, an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of management Accountants (ACMA), UK and an Associate member of the Global Institute of Management Accountants (CGMA), USA.
Manesha joined MITCO Group on 7th January 2020 as Head of Human Resources with 14 years of progressive experience in the field of human resources.
She started her career at DCDM Recruitment Services (now Alentaris) and is an alumna of PricewaterhouseCoopers, Rogers Group and Cim Group; companies where she has acquired wealth of experience and has grown her palette of skills as consultant and in-house HR.
Manesha holds a BCom in Management majoring in Human Resources and MBA specialised in Strategic Planning.
Jaweed is the Head of IT, Business Process & Project Management of MITCO Group and joined MITCO in January 2017.
He has over 30 years’ experience in IT and Project Management. Before joining MITCO, he held Senior Managerial positions in 2 major Groups of companies, acquiring solid experience in different verticals.
Jaweed holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Central Oklahoma, USA.
Aziza joined MITCO as General Secretary. She has 20 years of professional experience in the financial services sector as well as proven experience in the “Global Business” sector. She began her career in 1986 and then rose through the ranks working for various companies such as Hemery Trust (Mauritius) Limited, Matco Limited, HSBC Mauritius and Afrasia Bank.
Prior to joining MITCO, Aziza worked for 13 years at L C Abelheim Ltd, where she served as Director / Corporate Secretary and Compliance Officer / Money Laundering Reporting Officer. Aziza masters the various regulations of the sector, the corporate governance code of Mauritius as well as the laws to fight against money laundering and the financing of terrorism. Endowed with an analytical sense, Aziza has the ability to develop and implement new work practices that promote operational efficiency.
Aziza is result-oriented with a solution-focused approach.
Aziza is an ICSA graduate (Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators) and holds a master’s degree in international law from the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas since 2017.
Ariel is an Accounting Manager of MITCO Group. He has over 15 years of work experience in the financial services sector dealing with the accounting matters of Global Business companies including corporate institutions, private equity funds and entrepreneurs, as well as domestic companies.
Prior joining MITCO in July 2021, Ariel worked as an Accounting Manager at DTOS Group for a short while and has previously been working at ABAX Corporate Services Limited (now part of Ocorian Corporate Services (Mauritius) Limited) for almost 14 years where he built his competencies in the accounting field and gain a strong knowledge of the global business sector.
Ariel is a Fellow member of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (ACCA) in the United Kingdom.
Reena joined MITCO Group in 2012 as Senior Company and Trust Administrator and is currently a Relationship Manager of the Group since 2017. She is responsible for the day-to-day administration and set up of investment holding companies and Funds.
Reena started her career in the public sector where she spent five years in several departments including the Accountant General, Central Statistics Office and the Internal Auditor. Prior to joining the Group, she was at International Financial Services Limited as Junior Executive and Senior Associate Executive.
Reena is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (ACCA) in United Kingdom.
Roufaida is the Relationship Manager of MITCO Group and she has joined MITCO since June 2017. She brings to the Group more than 10 years of extensive experience in the Financial Services sector.
Roufaida started her career at the Deutsche Bank (Mauritius) Limited whereby she has developed her knowledge and skills on the global business sector mainly on the banking segments for six years. She subsequently joined Citco (Mauritius) Limited to acquire a wide exposure in the trust administration of private clients.
Roufaida holds a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Business Economics with Information Systems from the University of Mauritius.
Smita jointed MITCO Group in May 2019 as the General Counsel. She is a Barrister-at-Law whose practice areas cover various aspects of corporate and commercial law with focus on taxation laws.
Prior joining MITCO she was a Senior Manager in the Tax and Legal Department of PricewaterhouseCoopers (“PwC”). She advised multinationals and domestic companies on regulatory and contentious issues and assisted them in connection with investigations and assessments raised by the Mauritius Revenue Authority (“MRA”). Smita has also worked at the MRA as the in-house legal counsel. She advised extensively on domestic and international taxation and acquired considerable litigation experience from representing the MRA before the Courts and Tribunals.
Smita was admitted to the Bar of England and Wales in 2010 and to the Mauritius Bar in 2012. She holds an LLM in Commercial and Corporate Law, a Postgraduate Diploma in International Dispute Resolution and a Postgraduate Certificate in Equity and Trusts.
