The innovation occupation permit scheme and new rules for the residence permit as retired non-citizen

The Innovator OP has been designed for the non-citizens who wish to invest in Mauritius and conduct Research and Development projects in innovative sectors.

In addition, to provide more opportunities for non-citizen to retire in Mauritius, the criteria pertaining to the transfer into the Mauritian bank account has been relaxed. Henceforth, a retired non-citizen must undertake to transfer in his Mauritian bank account an initial amount of at least USD 2,500 and an aggregate amount of at least USD 30,000 annually (that is an amount of at least USD 2,500 monthly).
