Gabriel Froid - The Multi-Talented Assistant Relationship Officer at MITCO GROUP
Our selected personality of the month is Mr. Gabriel Froid who intelligently and passionately juggles the corporate world and the artistic field, more specifically the Fashion Industry.
Gabriel started his artistic pathway as an Indian classical dancer and was trained by one of the first exponent of Bharata Natyam in Mauritius, Mr. Jay Kumaren Iyasamy, who is also a first class degree holder from one of the most prestigious schools of performing arts in India: The Kalakshetra. Gabriel had however put a pause on his Indian Classic Dance classes during his studies at the University of Mauritius where he was a student in Law and Criminal Justice.
The artistic projects of Gabriel
Our young multi-talented artist of 23 years old has also been modelling for two years and during his career, he also had the opportunity to hit the runway for the brand MR LENOIR founded by the international football player, Mr. Djibril Cisse. Gabriel has recently launched his own clothing apparel, THE AFRICAN MARQUIS, an ethnic and afro-centric brand which proposes a perfect blend of couture and culture through his flamboyant designs. His collections celebrate diversity but also aims to strengthen the Mauritian-African diaspora.
Mister and Miss Runway Model Universe
Gabriel is going on an international level for the year 2020 as he has been selected after a thorough selection to be the National Director of the Mister and Miss Runway Model Universe (Hereinafter referred to as RMU), an upcoming prestigious international modelling competition and fashion designer championship which will take place from 22 to 28 June 2020 in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. This event is a great opportunity to join him in highlighting emerging Mauritian fashion talents competing worldwide and help Mauritius shine on an international platform.
What is Mister and Miss Runway Model Universe?
The main concept of this organization is to stage the Modelling & Designer’s Creation competition. While celebrating fashion, they also join hand in hand to elevate education to give to the less fortunate children by being a recipient of a Full Scholarship.
This event is a great opportunity to highlighting emerging Mauritian fashion talents competing worldwide and help Mauritius shine on an international platform.
