  • BSc (Econ) degree in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science. 

  • Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales ICAEW). 


Professional journey

From 2013 to 2023, Dean was the Managing Director of HSBC Bank (Mauritius) Limited where he was responsible for the Commercial Banking and Global Banking businesses. He was also a director on several subsidiary companies forming part of the HSBC Group during the same  period. 

Dean was the Vice- Chairman of the Mauritius Bankers Association from 2015 to 2017, a former director of Mauritius Finance (formerly Global Finance), former member of Economic sub committee of Business Mauritius, and a member of Mauritius Institute of Directors.

  • Proven experience in banking, financial services, corporate finance, trade & structured finance, business acquisitions & integration. 

  • Extensive skills & expertise in strategy development and execution, change management, team leadership, project management, analytical skills, teamwork, and problem solving
