Eastern and Southern African Trade and Development Bank (TDB) - Updates

Mauritius will be hosting the 38th Annual General Meeting of the Board of Governors of the TDB on 24-25 August 2022 which will see the participation of its 24 Member Countries and during which it will inaugurate its Principle Office in Ebene, Mauritius and launch the TDB Captive Insurance Company.

 

In line with the Board of Governors' Rules of Procedure and the provisions of the TDB Charter, Mauritius will also be assuming the role of Chairperson of the Board of Governors TDB.

 

TDB is a regional development bank set up in 1985 with the objective of fostering trade, regional economic integration and sustainable development through the provision of trade finance, project and infrastructure finance, asset management and business advisory services.  It comprises 22 COMESA, EAC and SADC member countries, 2 non-regional members (China and Belarus) and 15 institutional investors.
