Air Mauritius confirms order of 3 additional Airbus aircrafts

In a press communique dated 19 June 2023, Air Mauritius, the national airline, has confirmed the order of 3 additional Airbus A350, which will bring its fleet of this specific aircraft to a total of seven.

The delivery of these aircrafts is expected to be between Q4 2025 – Q3 2026.

This latest development is part of the market expansion strategy of Air Mauritius and will assist in improving the air connectivity of the island. In addition, it is a testimony of the national airline’s endeavour to upscale its service level. In fact, the airline has achieved a lot in that area and its efforts did not go unnoticed at the World Airline Awards 2023 (WAA 2023) - Air Mauritius now positions itself at the 78th position, representing a progression of 10 places compared to its 2022 ranking (WAA 2022: 88th).
