FSC: Introduction of new licensable activities

In a bid to widen the offerings of the jurisdiction, the Financial Services Commission (FSC) is proposing to introduce a new set of licensable activities as listed below:

 

• Spot commodity broker;
• Spot commodity broker’s representative;
• Spot commodity clearing house;
• Spot commodity market;
• Spot commodity trading adviser; and
• Spot commodity trading adviser’s representative.

To that end, the FSC has issued the draft “Financial Services (Spot Commodity Market and Intermediaries) Rules 2023” (the “draft Rules”) for public consultation.  The draft Rules can be accessed HERE.
