FSC joins the Network for Greening the Financial System (NGFS)

In a communiqué issued on 3 January 2024, the Financial Services Commission (FSC) announced its admission to the NGFS as a plenary member as from 27 December 2023.

 

Launched at the Paris One Planet Summit on 12 December 2017, the NGFS consists of 134 members and 21 observers as of December 2023.

 

The members comprise Central Banks and financial supervisors who join forces in the support of the transition towards a sustainable economy through the exchange of experience, sharing of best practices, development of environment and climate risk management in the financial sector.

 

This initiative is aligned to the Environmental, Social and Governance Strategies of the FSC and paves the way for the widening of the country’s offerings to investors who are increasingly mindful of the impact of their investments on the environment and society as whole.
