OECD: Establishment of a Country Programme for Mauritius

The Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) has acceded to the request of Mauritius in relation to the establishment of a Country Programme which will consist of in-depth and structured collaboration to strengthen the country’s compliance with OECD norms, standards and values in various fields which will cover the following themes:

 

1.  tax reforms;
2.  statistical standards;
3.  promotion and regulation of cross-border investments;
4.  fight against corruption, money laundering and terrorist financing;
5.  green growth and ESG sustainability;
6.  financial inclusion and diigitalization; and
7.  social inclusion and gender equality.

 

To that end, a Steering Committee will be set up by the Government of Mauritius to spearhead the Country Programme and thereafter to ensure its implementation.
