Mauritius International Trust Company Limited (“MITCO” or the “Company”) which forms part of the Fidence Group is one of the oldest and well-established Management Companies in Mauritius and provides advisory, structuring, set-up, administering, company secretarial, compliance, professional outsourcing and back-office services to its clients.

 

MITCO is currently looking for an experienced Manager – Finance.

 

 

Manager – Finance

Reporting to the Senior Manager – Finance, the selected candidate will oversee the effective functioning of the Finance department, encompassing financial preparation and reporting, analysis, budgeting, project management and staff development while contributing to the achievement of the Company’s financial objectives.

 

What you will be doing:

• Ensure together with the Head of Finance (HOF)/ Senior Manager (SM) that internal control procedures are being adhered to;

• Oversee and supervise the tasks allocated to the team members;

• Cooperate in liaising with the internal and external auditors in providing information needed;

• Assist the HOF in risk management in expenses and financials;

• Responsible for the preliminary preparation of the accounts prior to HOF final review;

• Review of revenue and expenses posted in Viewpoint to ensure that they are tax/vat compliant and properly disclosed in our financials;

• Provide monthly significant variance report to the HOF/ SM;

• Monitor the month end and year end closing of accounts;

• Ensure accurate review of IFRS 9 provision prior to submission to HOF/ SM; 

• Review the tax computation and tax filing (through MNS) to the tax authorities;

• Ensure all returns to be submitted to the MRA are accurate prior to HOF review and filing deadline is respected;

• Ensure payments to authorities (ROC, FSC and MRA) on client’s behalf are done within deadline after checking receivables position;

• Assist the HOF/ SM in risk management and Cash/Treasury Management;

• Assist the HOF/ SM in the digitalisation of the Finance department. 

 

What are we looking for?

• Fully qualified ACCA or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience;

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French;

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications;

• Experience with Viewpoint or other accounting software.
