Mauritius International Trust Company Limited (“MITCO” or the “Company”) which forms part of the Fidence Group is one of the oldest and well-established Management Companies in Mauritius and provides advisory, structuring, set-up, administering, company secretarial, compliance, professional outsourcing and back-office services to its clients.

 

MITCO is currently looking for a seasoned Manager – Finance (Consolidation).

 

 

Manager – Finance (Consolidation)

Reporting to the Head of Finance (HOF), the selected candidate must ensure the effective functioning of the Finance department and work closely with the HOF and other department heads. The role has a strong focus on the Group's consolidation, financial reporting and analysis processes including the timely and accurate preparation of consolidated financial statements. The role will also support budgeting and management reporting activities.

 

What you will be doing:

• Ensure in collaboration with the Head of Finance (HOF) and Senior Manager that the internal control procedures are effectively adhered to;

• Liaise with the external auditors and provide the required information in a timely manner;

• Oversee the preliminary preparation of the Group's monthly management accounts prior to the final review by the HOF and Senior Manager;

• Monitor the month-end and year-end closing of accounts;

• Assist the HOF with adhoc projects, provide tailored data and reports as required;

• Attend board meetings in the absence of the HOF and Senior Manager;

• Assist the HOF in the preparation of board packs;

• Assist in drafting, updating and implementing accounting processes for review by the HOF;

• Assist the HOF and Senior Manager in the digitalisation of the Finance department;

• Support the CFO with adhoc information requests and reporting requirements.

 

What are we looking for?

• Fully qualified ACCA or equivalent professional qualification with at least 5 years' relevant experience within the financial sector or a related industry;

• Fully conversant with IFRS and the preparation of consolidated financial statements including overseas subsidiaries;

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a managerial role;

• Bilingual with excellent written and verbal communication skills and fluent French and English;

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software (knowledge of Viewpoint would be an advantage).
